Instagram: #For #Agents
Estate Agent Today has released an article about an agent who conducted an experiment regarding the popular social media service Instagram. The small test involved three photographs of three listed properties with six different Instagram filters applied. A panel of eighteen then judged which edition they thought would be most appealing to buyers.
This begs the question, could Instagram be a useful tool for estate agents? Property Stream’s Marketing Executive, Laura Hart believes so explaining “agents are beginning to realise the importance of social media within their marketing strategy, Instagram can not only be considered as an editing tool, but also a platform to market listed properties. Many agents make the mistake of filling their Twitter feeds with listed properties 10 times a day, this is ineffective and often leads to unfollows, Instagram however is for sharing photos, people will follow agents in the interest of viewing these properties and agents have the option to present these photographs in the most appealing visual way possible. Hashtags can also be used to ensure these listing meet the right end user. Instagram may not work for all agents, but it is certainly worth looking into.”
